If you do anything on this trip.... visit the beach! Lake Michigan's shores on this side are lined with sugar sand beaches and loads of water activities. By the end of the summer the water gets to 70 degrees and is tons of fun to swim in. The local state park and tunnel park will be packed with beach goers on Labor Day weekend and you should all be one of them!
