The Ladies...
Lois and I have been friends since we met in middle school but our friendship has grown since the start of college. I could always count on Lois to go out shopping, for lunch or disco bowling! She, her sister, and I even took our first trip to Hawaii together. Lois currently works as an accountant for Schenk Business Solutions in Green Bay, WI. She also just got married this past October in San Diego. I'm so glad Lois and I have kept our friendship through the years and that she'll be sharing this special day with me!
Jen is married to my older brother Andy, and we have been "sisters" for 5 years now. She is a sign language interpreter for Professional Interpreting Enterprise Inc. in Milwaukee, and also teaches at UW- Milwaukee. Jen has been an awesome friend for the past 8 years, and I couldn't have picked a better 1st sister to have. She and Andy have two beautiful daughters, Ava and Ella, who are as sweet as can be... and spoiled rotten by their Auntie Becky!
Kelly and I just recently became sisters when she married my younger brother Ben this past August. Kelly and I have known each other for a very long time since we went to High School together. Kelly just graduated this past May with her Masters in Speech Pathology from UW-Madison, and she currently works for the
Green Bay public school district. We share a birthday, March 3rd, and a love for cake and ice cream! I can always count on Kelly for good advice and a fun time!
Keara is Ethan's older sister, and we are only just starting to get to know one and another. We spent a week with her in Las Vegas this past year during our Tappe family trip and I found Keara and I have one major thing in common.... a LOVE for fancy pastries and desserts! And there were plenty in abundance there! Keara is currently going to school in Fargo and volunteering at the Humane Society. If she could, Keara would bring every pet in need home with her, but so far it's only been one. I'm looking forward to becoming sisters with Keara and a part of her family.
Ava and Ella are the daughters of Andy and Jen Hayes (my older brother). They are the perfect fit for flower girls and cannot wait to put on their pretty dresses. By the time the wedding comes around Ava will be four and Ella will almost be two. I have no doubt that they will do a fantastic job... and steal the show!
The Gentlemen...
I've known Josh as long as I can remember, literally. Our parents are good friends and we basically grew up at each other's house. Josh and I have been through a lot together over the years. Been to the ER because of each other, been grounded more times than I can count for mutual stupidity, and had a ridiculous amount of fun together along the way! Josh has always been there for me when I needed him. We went all through high school together, went to college together, and even lived together for a time. Josh works in construction and lives in Oakdale Minnesota. Josh and his wife Heather are two of my favorite people in the whole world and it's my pleasure and honor to have him standing up for me in my wedding as my best man.
Andy is Becky's older brother. He and I take great pleasure in pointing out each other's favorite teams defeats. Being a diehard Brewers fan is a character flaw that I've learned to accept about him. It's always fun to go to Twins Brewer's games with him and watch him hang his head as the Twins win. We love to give each other a hard time but it's all in good fun. Andy currently teaches kindergarten in
Milwaukee and just finished his masters in instructional technology. I'm very lucky to have a future brother-in-law as cool as Andy.
Ben is Becky's younger brother. Ben is a pretty easy going guy unless the Packers or Badgers are on TV.... Ben was married this past August to his lovely wife Kelly and I was honored to be a part of it. Ben works as a financial planner in Green Bay
Wisconsin. He's the lucky one that gets to try to explain the financial do's and don’ts to me. I make him use little words so I can follow along. Ben is a lot of fun to be around and I'm looking forward to having him as a brother-in-law.
Pat is one of the two nicest guys you'll ever meet from Frazee.... I'm the other, an old inside joke from our Fargo days... Pat is another friend from way back. He lived just down the road from Josh growing up, and the three of us were always together doing something. Whether or not we were supposed to be doing that something is another question all together. Pat and I lived together and worked together in Fargo. We had many good times over the years trying to convince anyone that would listen to us that Pat had an artificial hip or whatever other nonsense came to mind. Pat works as a superintendent for a construction company and lives in Hawley, Minnesota with his wife Stephanie and 3 children Rudee, Shea, and Ella.
Jess and I met in the dorms when we both went to UMD. He and I were skiing and mountain biking partners right from the start. He was always the little devil on my shoulder telling me that I could make whatever stupid stunt we had come up with. Thankfully over the years I've gotten better at blocking him out! Jess and I always have fun together, whether on a road trip to pick up something he bought accidentally, or in the garage trying to figure out why something doesn't work even though he got such a great deal on it.... Jess owns his own construction company and lives in New Prague, Minnesota with his wife Kelly and adorable daughter Taylor.
Scott is the first person I met when I moved into the dorms at UMD and we became fast friends. Scott, Jess, and I were always together trying to amuse ourselves. Team driving, backyard ski jumping, and the Lisa game just to name a few.... Scott is one of those people that makes everyone around him laugh, not always on purpose. He is someone that I know I can count on no matter when and where and that is a rare thing in this world. Scott owns a real estate development company and lives in
Eau Claire, Wisconsin. And don't let the looks fool you; he's a state champion hand stander.
